Today we feature recent works from artist Ian Healy. Ian was born in Cork, Rep of Ireland. He studied Fine Art Painting at the Crawford College of Art in Cork and achieved an honours degree in 1992. Ian has exhibited throughout the UK and Ireland. The focus of the Ian`s work at present is the dog portrait; a dog painting that is similar to a human portrait, it’s head and shoulders, distinct with character, inquisitive, full of grace, fragility and humility. Are you interested in getting a commissioned painting of your own dog? Ian has painted several commissions for dog owners. You can email or post photos of your dog and your own details and Ian will respond to you. Most commissions are on paper, framed, but canvas painting can also be requested.
