Yesterday, his monstrous package arrived!

After our studious photographer(aka the boyfriend) arrived home from work, the festivity began!

I think I was more excited to see what was in that box!

DogTime: How We Met

DogTime - How We Met

Casey came to me as a foster dog. I remember greeting his surrendering family on a cold Saturday afternoon, in an empty parking lot near my condo, where Casey (the piglet!) popped out of the back seat to greet me with huge wet kisses. He obviously had no idea what was going on around him. His old mom & dad gave him a tearful goodbye, signed over the surrendering papers to The Boston Terrier Rescue Canada, and quickly handed me his new toy that their younger daughter had picked out as his special ‘going away’ present, and his little bed.

I must admit, it was love at first sight. Everything from his nontraditional larger than average squishy body to his little piggy-like corkscrew tail won my heart from the moment he was introduced to me. I quickly knew I wanted to be his ‘forever mom.’ We quickly bonded, with lots of under-the-blanket snuggle time and walkies (that he hadn’t been used to, living in the suburbs with a back yard).

Casey quickly discovered the joys of downtown living, including the never ending availability of gum on the ground! Boy, did he love eating that stuff off the ground!! A year later, we decided it was time to finalize what even the rescue coordinator knew. Casey was in his forever home. The day I signed the adoption papers was one of the happiest days – Casey now had my last name, and he was officially my little piglet for life. And I have never been happier. I love my little pig. And i know he loves me just as much.
